I'm a tutor who is based out of Boston, Massachusetts, where I enjoy studying languages, playing music, and playing with my dogs when I'm not in the classroom working with students. I have two bachelor's degrees from the University of Connecticut "” one in cognitive science, and the other in linguistics. Now, I'm a graduate student at Boston University, where I study applied linguistics. As a tutor, I'm able to help students in a variety of subject areas. Some of the lessons I've taught in the past have been in reading, math, science, and languages, amongst other things. I have experience working with students from middle school, to high school, and all the way through college. I love the challenge of figuring out the best way to help a new student. There's nothing quite like the feeling I get when a student of mine finally has a breakthrough in a subject area they've been struggling with. I provide individualized lesson plans that take the needs of each of my students into account. This ensures that the student is getting targeted help in the areas they need it most. I believe that every student can master whatever subject they dedicate themselves to, provided they have the right guidance. As a tutor, I seek to act as a guiding mentor to my students to ensure they reach all of their academic goals.
