Experience
I have worked with students of all ages, from three to seventy years. While doing so, I have developed an understanding of the different learning needs of my students, and been able to adapt to their unique learning styles. I do my best to make the experience enjoyable for my students. I have been a tutor since I was nine years old. Because of my cultural background (I am half Chinese and half American), it is easy for me to understand both cultures. I have taught children in a small Chinese village, as well as learned Mandarin as a foreign language. Because of this experience, I believe my background better enables me to understand those I am teaching. I have had fourteen years of experience as a teacher, and I believe that with my background, I will be able to educate students not just about the language, but also about the rich culture that comes with Mandarin. I am available to tutor students in Mandarin Chinese 1-4, AP Chinese Language and Culture, and Languages. I am a graduate of BU. In my free time, I love to do photography, practice yoga, and travel to new locations.
