Education

Freshman Management Major & Musical Performance Minor at Clark University Graduated from Brunswick High School, in Brunswick, Maine with the class of 2014. There, I graduated with a weighted GPA of 96.9 and an unweighted GPA of 93.5 ...............................................................................

Experience

-Last year, I worked in a 4th grade classroom in East Harlem through an AmeriCorps program called "City Year New York," providing one-on-one and small group tutoring support in English, math, and social skills. -I want to be a tutor because the best part of my job last year was watching my students grow and become independent scholars, and this seems like a rewarding way to make some extra cash. Although last year I worked with elementary students, I feel comfortable working with all students K-8. Regarding high schoolers, I feel confident helping with subjects regarding writing, reading, literature, U.S & Modern European history, and essay writing (for school, college application, and for the SAT.) - During my high school career, I chose to take the most challenging course load, complete with APs and Honors classes. Please let me know if you have any concerns with my experience. -If you want to see my resume, please feel free to email me and I'll be happy to send it.

Hobbies

You already know I'm a freshman at Clark, and that I took a gap year to live in New York City and work in Harlem, but what you don't know is that I also play the cello. I'm playing in the Clark Chamber Music group as well as the Clark Symphony. Also, I love to dance (tap dance, specifically.) I'm from Maine, and I love nature, especially canoeing and hiking. I love to joke around and play games. While it's important to stay on task while studying, I try my best to present the information in fun and engaging ways. I consider myself to be lighthearted, encouraging, and understanding. Please feel free to reach out if you have any more questions.
